Frequently Asked Questions
1. What guides the way you make your products?
Yoghurt Express started with a simple standard: we should be happy serving it to our own family before offering it to yours.
We begin with fresh, pasteurised cow’s milk and carefully selected ingredients, and we continually refine our cultures, recipes and processes to achieve the best quality we can. We do not use artificial flavours, colourants, additives or preservatives, and our fruit preparations are made in-house using organic fruit.
2. Are your products suitable for children?
Absolutely. In fact, Yoghurt Express originally began because we wanted better dairy for our own children.
We keep our recipes simple and avoid unnecessary added sugar wherever possible. Our philosophy has always been to make products we would be comfortable putting on our own family table.
As with any food, parents should always consider individual allergies, intolerances and dietary requirements.
3. Do you use artificial sweeteners or preservatives?
No.
We do not use artificial sweeteners, artificial flavours, colourants or preservatives in our products.
When we could not find fruit jam on the market without preservatives and excessive amounts of sugar, we decided to make our own. Today, our fruit preparations are made in-house using organic fruit, giving us greater control over exactly what goes into our products.
4. How should I store Yoghurt Express products?
Our dairy products should be kept refrigerated at 2–4°C.
Once opened, we recommend consuming them within 3 days for the best freshness, flavour and texture. Avoid leaving refrigerated products at room temperature for extended periods and return them to the refrigerator as soon as possible after use.
Always check the individual product label for specific storage instructions and expiry dates.
5. Is your packaging environmentally friendly?
We are continuously looking for ways to reduce unnecessary waste.
Several of our products are available in reusable glass packaging, and we encourage customers to return their bottles and jars wherever applicable so they can be cleaned, sanitised and used again.
We are also continually reviewing our packaging to find more responsible solutions without compromising food safety or product quality.
6. How do you deliver your products?
Most of our local deliveries are made using our electric bodas.
They allow us to move efficiently through Kampala while reducing emissions and helping us get refrigerated products from us to you as quickly as possible.
Because freshness is especially important with dairy, we also take care to maintain appropriate handling and temperature conditions throughout delivery.
7. When will I receive my order?
Orders placed before 6:00 PM are generally delivered the same day or the next business day, depending on your location, order volume and delivery schedule.
Orders placed after 6:00 PM are processed on the next business day.
Certain areas, such as Entebbe, also have scheduled delivery days.
8. Where do you deliver and how much does it cost?
We currently deliver to Kampala, Lubowa, Entebbe and Jinja by special arrangement.
Kampala: UGX 5,000
Lubowa: UGX 10,000
Entebbe on Thursdays: UGX 10,000
Entebbe special delivery on other days: UGX 40,000
Jinja: Available by special order; delivery charges are confirmed depending on the order.
As we grow, we hope to continue expanding our delivery areas.
9. Can I collect my order instead?
Yes. Orders can be collected from:
Yoghurt Express
11 Younger Avenue, Bugolobi, Kampala
We recommend confirming your order before coming so that everything is prepared and ready for collection.
10. Why does cream sometimes form on top of your fresh milk?
Our fresh whole milk is pasteurised but not homogenised. This means we do not mechanically break down the natural milk fat to keep it permanently suspended.
As the milk rests in the refrigerator, some of the cream may naturally rise to the top. This is completely normal. Simply give the bottle a good shake before pouring.
11. Where does your milk come from?
We work closely with our milk suppliers and carefully assess the milk we receive before it enters production. Quality begins with the raw ingredient, so milk selection and testing are an important part of our process.
From there, it is pasteurised and handled under controlled conditions before becoming the yoghurt, milk, cheese, cream and butter that reach our customers.
12. What makes Yoghurt Express different?
Perhaps the simplest answer is how it started.
Yoghurt Express was not originally created as a business. We began making yoghurt at home because we wanted something better for our own children. We became increasingly interested in the science behind it, tested our products in laboratories, searched internationally for better cultures and continued refining the process.
Friends and neighbours began asking for it, then their friends did the same. Around 99% of our growth has happened through word of mouth.
We still approach every new product in much the same way today: would we be happy putting this on our own family table?
12. Return Policy
At Table de flora, we take great care to ensure that every product is delivered fresh and in good condition.
Due to the nature of our fresh dairy products, we do not offer refunds once an order has been delivered.
However, if you receive a product that is damaged upon delivery, we will be happy to offer a product exchange. Please contact us as soon as possible after receiving your order and share a photo of the damaged item so our team can assist you.
Thank you for your understanding.
